Adam Curry reports that a non-profit organization in Dutch university town Leiden is setting up a wireless infrastructure, city wide...:
An enthousiastic group of volunteers, 'Wireless Leiden', is building a computer network for the citizens of Leiden, A moderate-sized town in the west of the Netherlands. It is going to be extremely fast and cheap. The group has delivered 'proof of concept' and is now starting to actually build the network. In order to accomplish this 'Wireless Leiden' is looking for tall buildings throughout the city and suburbs.Spending most weeks in Rotterdam - here's a question for our Dutch readers: does anyone know the status of wireless networking in Rotterdam? I have considered getting a WiFi card for my laptop, but only if I can get easy access (I'll happily pay to share someone's ADSL line if they live nearby...)(source: wirelessleiden.nl)
