Cigarette break or a quick news-check?

BBC reports that News beats porn online. I don't know how this is in any way surprising; a lot more employees check news sites from work than would browse for porn. Isn't that common sense? What I reacted to, however, was this conclusion taken out of thin air:

Whatever the content, it is all lost productivity for businesses though.
You know what I think? I think employees who are updated on what happens in the world and in their field of expertise are more productive (because of a better skill set and better motivation) than employees that have this privilege removed... Is taking a 5 min break for smoking 10 times a day better? I don't think so...
