I'm not safe to search...?

According to this page (part of the Empirical Analysis of Google SafeSearch by Benjamin Edelman at Harvard, 2 of the top 10 results and 21 of the top 100 results are omitted by Google's SafeSearch feature if searching for "blog". (testing as of: 03-25-2003)

The omitted URLs are: Ring around the blog... (#2), rabbit blog (#10), Ethel the Blog (#14), Blog Sisters (#19), Naked Blog (#29), www.nytimes.com/2002/07/28/magazine/28ONLANGUAGE.html (#42), Shark Blog (#43), andersja's blog (#48), Blog of a Bookslut (#49), World Cup Blog - Follow the Action (#51), josh blog (#54), The Tard Blog (#67), kd decides to be hooha.us (#71), captions blog - is it funny? (#72), Samizdata.net - Glossary (#82), how to blog (#84), Bruner Blog: Rick Bruner's self-indulgent rants, peeves, trivial ... (#88), ***Dave Does the Blog (#96), d/blog (#97), greeblie blog (#98), Blog Anon (#99)
Weird/interesting/odd...

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, although it's hardly surprising. Naked Blog is part comment and part literary, which latter includes everyday conversational swear words. It's a relief, really. I wouldn't expect someone afraid of uncensored searching to enjoy the weblog anyway.
