I'm having a go at redesigning this site, one step at a time. First the renaming, now I'm borrowing some CSS from Christian, whose blog I've started reading, and who gets a new place in the blogroll. Another new entrant to the blogroll is Mari, who is a new, Norwegian blogger as well.
If things look a bit screwy in your browser with the current layout; please post a comment. If you liked it better before, let me know too :-) Suggestions are always welcome, and please excuse some temporary mess while I fiddle around with the archive templates...
I am honoured! Looks a bit naked still but It's a design for my taste. :) I think myown design has got a bit heavy to load, fidling about with it now. Your last design was very clean and thats something I appreciate. Are you running a your MT on a proper database or the MT default.
Posted by: christian on May 7, 2003 11:28 PMLooks nice! I'm running Opera (7.3) and the sidebars in the old layout always seemed to get shifted right down to the bottom of the page. They're much more visible now. And the overlapping boxes effect is nifty.
Posted by: Martin Sutherland on May 8, 2003 12:12 AMI like it too, Christian is right with the 'naked' description. A little dash of colour wouldn't go astray. I like the narrower columns, it's easier to read the text.
Posted by: Adam Bramwell on May 8, 2003 02:50 AMThanks for the positive feedback! Greatly appreciated! I will have a look in the colour department at some point as well :-)
Posted by: Anders Jacobsen on May 8, 2003 11:16 AMIf you want readers with 800 x 600 resolution (yes, I know.. oldfashion laptop) to see at bit more of the blogbody, you should probably make the banner a bit smaller! Beyond that I think it looks nice!
Posted by: Mari on May 8, 2003 02:07 PMThe new design looks good. Much clearer. However, I also miss the old design - which I have been very familiar with. Keep up the good work and continue your redsign work - the best is always yet to come.
