St Pierre Church, Chartres

Reflected sunlight, coloured by the stained glass windows of the St. Pierre Church in Chartres, France.

The St Pierre is a massive church, but as it bleakens compared to it's big sister, the Chartres Cathedral, it seemed to have received very little maintenance over the years... This light caught my eye, though...

Photo was shot with the camera handheld, settings: shutter speed 1/60s, aperture value 4.0, ISO Speed 100. Colour saturation adjusted a tad up.

When I came across this image, I was in awe at its haunting beauty. Strangely, it feels as if Im under water. Stunning! Thanks for posting such a fantastic image.
