Internet - a journalist's friend or foe?

Norwegian newspaper VG has a competition online today where one can win a box of REM CDs. To win, one has to answer three questions about REM, the last of which is:

R.E.M. played an exclusive concert in Oslo in October. When was the last time R.E.M. visited Norway? [sic one must presume they're asking for the "previous time"]

Unfortunately the presumably "correct" answer to this question is referring to the August 3rd 1995 concert in Oslo Spektrum, Norway. Unfortunately fan pages on the Internet has better information:

The last REM appearance in Norway before 2003 was 1999. Do I win now? ;-)
