Canon Speedlite 420EX

Canon Speedlite 420ex (image borrowed from canon.com)

The gadget-du-mois is the Canon Speedlite 420EX, a powerful, universal flash unit for Canon's EOS cameras.

The reviews are favourable, even recommending it over the more powerful 550ex for users of my camera, the EOS 10D.

Adorama.com has it for about US$ 170, which seems to be equal to or cheaper than any hit Froogle presents (and I have shopped with Adorama before, so I know they are safe to deal with).

As always, it's now a pain to wait until the arrival.........
