I got this from my friend Per Kristian and can't keep my fingers off the keyboard to pass it on: This is a fantastic example of the classic "hole in the CV" (i.e. where the interviewer is meant to ask: "what did you do those years, then?"):
The top man listed on Cyprus-based RIM Investment Management's Management Team happens to be Arne Treholt:
(do take a good look at his CV from ... say... 1984 to 1993... before reading on)
Arne Treholt is famous, at least in Norway, for having given secret information to the Soviet Union during the cold war. The arrest of Arne Treholt in 1984 came as a huge surprise for many. Treholt had been a central person in the labour party (Arbeiderpartiet), and was a close collaborator with cabinet minister Jens Evensen, among other things in territorial negotiations with the Soviet Union.
The miracles of the interwebnet lets us dig out some more information:
I respect Arne Treholt as a very strong and very smart man. Like Ernest Hemingway said, "A man can be destroyed but not defeated". That's about him I believe. Even though I was really surprised by "hole in the CV"...
Hello.
My name is Ottar Berget, From Norway.
For many years I have been thinking of Arne. I would like to get in contact with him again. I am a pensioned reporter to day, but this is only a personal and privat mail. Iwould appreciate to hear from him.
Best regards from
