Remember Telio, the new Norwegian IP telephony company?
Dagbladet (Norwegian newspaper) has tested their service and reports that, as expected, it's cool but still suffers from occational hiccups. Call forwarding if you're not answering is not yet available, but is coming in a few months. Call quality is reported to be somewhere between cell phone and normal landline (not unlike other VoIP applications).

This looks very cool. I certainly want to try this out in the (near) future. After reading your previous post about Telio, I told my brother about this. This was old news to him. He has been waiting for their adapter for more than 3 months now...
I think I will wait and hear about his experiences, before ordering one for myself :-)
Posted by: William Juul on February 9, 2004 02:45 PMWaiting for three months? And I'm impatient after just a week... Ah well.
Posted by: Jill on February 9, 2004 08:03 PMI'm supposed to meet up with a former colleague of mine, who now works at Telio, sometime this week and was about to ask him about stability of the network when I read this article.
I'm still kind of curious about the system and definately interested in testing it, but if it's extremely buggy then it's an investment I can very well live without.
