The ''Power Creators'' online

Blogging about blogs in the news is ... old news...

This article caught my eye, however, as it is a survey of how people (Americans only) use the Internet to contribute their own thoughts, writings, photos etc. to websites: Content Creation Online (PDF)

Definitely worth a read!

(via Håkon Styri, who coins a new (to me) interpretation of the word "prosumer" (in Norwegian: prosument). I always read that as "professional/consumer" i.e. applicable to semi-professional digital cameras and so on. Håkon defines a "prosument" as a producer/consumer.)

To my knowledge, prosumer has three interpretations. Check http://www.wordspy.com/words/prosumer.asp
