Fierce competition in the magazine market in Norway has really triggered the creativity in the publishers' branding departments:

One marvels at the inginuity of the magazine designers naming them using one letter and an exclamation mark. Can they actually copyright that?

I'm reminded of the Intel saga when they tried to copyright and trademark the '386' and '486' chips against competitors naming their chips similarly, but were kind of told by the courts that copyrighting a number was actually a bit silly.

It probably wouldn't be a copyright, but a trademark. And so I suspect that yes, they can.
