A note to our American readers: I don't care whether you vote for Bush or Kerry (well actually I do, a bit, but it doesn't change the message): whatever you do: VOTE.
Prove that the US actually is a democracy where people care. Vote!
Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote! Vote!
The United States is a republic and not really a democracy...as our founders intended it to be...to avoid "mob rule". And there is a difference between a republic and a democracy. BTW, I have a masters degree in American History so I know what I'm talking about.
Posted by: JD on November 3, 2004 08:11 AMWell, voter turnout hit new highs this year, although the results are not exactly what a lot of people were hoping for ... :/ Be careful what you wish for
Posted by: valerief on November 3, 2004 03:42 PMBut on the other hand, the results were what a lot of other people were hoping for. :)
