Norwegian Christmas Tree @ Trafalgar Square

Anyone living in or visiting London in Christmas time will have noticed the impressively tall Christmas tree on Trafalgar Square. Traditionally 23-25 metres high, it's an annual gift from the people of Norway to the people of London. Tonight (Tuesday 30th November, 6pm) the lights will be lit and the Mayor of London and the Mayor of Oslo will give speeches, choirs will sing carols etc. Enjoy.

Thanks for the information. I have seen pictures but I did not know about the goodwill gesture.
