Ask nicely for a transfer to another ISP; they will offer you an upgrade to 1-2 Mbit/s for free...

These days Virgin.Net Customer Support sends out e-mails asking if you'd like a faster line for free... took me a few days to get it upgraded from 512kbps to 1Mbps.

I tried migrating from Virgin.net several months ago and didn't get very far. The said they'd send me my MAC code but they never got round to it!

Since Virgin.net is now almost totally owned by NTL, I wasn't expecting miracles! :)

I think I might try to get a faster connection out of them... do they demand any minimum term for that?
