Freedom of speech

I thought of a quotable quote from Voltaire (?) to keep in mind when allowing the whole spectrum of extremists to vent their frustrations through the media these days:

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
The relevance, I believe, is to show groups used to expressing themselves with the sword that in our culture you get a lot more respect if you express yourself with a pen... Despite certain expressions being offensive to some, we allow them, just as we allow pubilshing of the replies, the cricism and other expressions.

We do not tolerate death threats as a valid means of expression.
