Laïcité in Norway?

There's an interesting article in Aftenposten (in Norwegian only) today about freedom of speech and the recent cartoon issue.

The article is written by a Norwegian Christian and a Norwegian muslim and it argues that no breach of the principle of freedom of speech took place when newspapers published the cartoons (otherwise it wouldn't be a freedom). At the same time they suggest introducing fully fledged laïcité in Norway: separation of Church and state (Norway is currently officially a Christian kingdom, despite a large majority of its population being agnostic).

The article also suggests removal of the blasphemy legislation to ensure complete freedom of speech.

Worth a read and a thought if you can read Norwegian.

I'll link if anyone lets me know if an English version exists.
